Paxil CR vs Paroxetine CR (Mylan Labs)

I was just switched from brand name regular Paxil 20mg tabs to Paroxetine CR (Mylan Labs). I had symptoms the last time I was changed to the generic Paroxetine 20mg a few years ago and went back to the brand. I'll try the Paroxetine CR and see how it works. Has any had any problems with the new Paroxetine CR?

Hi Joe... I had been on Paxil CR for many years until I became pregnant with my second child and was switched to Zoloft instead. I can't say for sure about any differences as I don't think there was a gen. form of the CR at the time. However, after many months of feeling really good and panic free on zoloft, my pharmacy switched to a generic brand of the drug and after about 4-6 weeks my whole life changed dramatically. I learned that ther is no guideline for generic drugs and that there can be a up to a 20% difference in the actual dose regardless of the mg and also that you can react differently to some of the fillers that are used by different brands.

I'm in the middle of session 2 and hope that after this program I won't have to deal with any of the hassles/side effects of meds anymore. I have been struggling with panic disorder for 10 years and feel like I have finally found the tools to help me beat it. Good luck with your meds and it is unfortunate that the pharmacies are allowed to change brands so carelessly when it really does affect peoples lives.

i have been on paxil and am on the generic brand it works good for me keeps me calm i have no side effects. no more panic attacks
