ive been on Lexapro for 2 1/2 months now and ive been experiencing this weird sharp pain on the upper left side of my chest it comes and goes anyone taking Lexapro experience this Doc said is a muscle but im pretty sure is the meds doing this weird things to me. I so wanna get off Lexapro is been helping me but it also does other thigs to my body. I just wanna be normal, feel good that im not alone suffering from anxiety. I just hate that im the one that cause this on me, wonder if i ever be normal again.

i was listening to a session on my program and it confuse me about that lady having a heart attack for so much stress. So if you choose not to take meds and do it on your own will I be in risk of having a heart attack if i keep having anxiety symptoms? :?

I take 10mg of LEx and feel fine on it. I doubt the pain you feel is from the Lex, if you spoke to your doc about it and he said it was a muscle than it probably is.

I snese that even though the Lex has helped you that it isnt helping you enough, you still seem to be worrying about things you shouldnt be, perhaps you would do better with an increase in your meds?? The dose I take (10mg) has rid me of obsessive and irrational thoughts and worrying. I no longer have anxiety. I would talk to your doc and discuss how you feel with him.

hey all,

I too have taken lexapro for about three months. I cannot say that i have had any pains but i did not feel any difference so i went off the medicine. i still take xanax to help me relax and go to bed at night but even that has not been helping lately. I think have insomnia.

Talk to your doctor there are so many different medicines they can prescibe for you. Sometimes it is what works for you and your system not anyone else.

And Michelle i hope you continue to use the program and start to feel better. Try the relaxation cd. I truly do understand what you are going through. Try not to isolate yourself too much. Listen to your favorite music, watch your favorite movie, talk and spend time with some good friends. Stay positive and hopeful both of you!!!

Michelle give the Lexapro time to start working, 2 weeks is not enough time to feel the full benefits. Talk with your doc and see what they say.

Michelle,

I have been taking Lexapro for 4 years now. It takes about three weeks to really start feeling the effects. At first all I wanted to do is sleep. After about three weeks I woke up one day and I felt great, no more cloudy dead, normal sleep pattern and much less anxiety. Give it some time, you have to work through the first few weeks.

Michelle your brave! Taking care of your son is amazing!!! I look up to that! You'll be ok...Pelase be positive and never give up on urself! be patient too. I have 10mg of lex and I really dont take it, it makes me feel like a zombie! I cant afford to be like that. My meds right now are my positive self talk, they are working, sloowly.
