Meds without sexual side effects?

Is there such a thing?

I'm curious if anyone has taken any anti-depressant or anti-anxiety meds that did NOT zap their libido.

I'm on Celexa and am never in the mood and from what I've read, others feel the same way on their meds too.

I've even been on St. John's Wort, which you would think being herbal, that it wouldn't have as much side effect. I wasn't on prescription meds long enough to find out if it affected my libido. I mentioned this to my doctor and she didn't think it was the St. John's Wort affecting my libido....but I think so! With this program and its' vitamin, I'm going off SJW, so I'll let you know if I get my libido back!

I've always heard Wellburtrin is good for that, however Wellbutrin is mored geared for depression and can make anxiety symptoms worse which did happen in my case, but having said that, everyone is different. BTW, I take Zoloft and have the same problem you do so your not alone!

Hi, I'm on celexa too, and I can sure identify with you!!!!! I've tried other SSRI's , but celexa works the best for me in other ways, so I'm stuck with that particular side effect . Oh well!!!!!

I'm on 10mg of lexapro and experiencing the same thing. I was wondering if cutting back would help with the side effects yet still help with the depression. I'll probably need to talk to my dr. I'll let you know if she has any good ideas

yeah its pretty had to find one that doesnt decrease your libido. Ive been on a bunch of them and they all decrease it. although on some i could orgasm and others i cold not so as long as that worksproperly im happy lol

Hi missgsr,
I take 25mg of Zoloft, it has not mess with my libido. Even when I was on 50 mg, it didn't mess with my libido.

I take 10mg of Lexapro and it decreases mine too. But I can orgasm on it and do enjoy sex once it is started, so I guess it could be worse, I didnt have much of one before either.
