From Celexa to Effexor - Anyone?

My doctor put me on effexor after trying other meds. Then I looked up effexor on the web and came across so many websites with so many terrible stories about the withdrawal symptoms. I decided to get off of it. My doctor wasn't happy but gave me a two week pack to taper off. I've been off now for four days and am having a hard time. I'm extremely tired, having bad headaches,dizziness, and muscle twitches. I read that it takes a lot more than two weeks to taper off, but I'm trying hard not to go back on it.

Hello! I was started on Effexor a little over 2 years ago. Within 6 months I was up to the max dose, I believe it is 150 mg. After a year, it wasn't working anymore. I was having attacks again. SO, she switched me to Lexapro. It wasn't on my presicription plan and so we opted for Celexa. I didn't have any real problems switching from one to the other, but it did make me feel a little "fuzzy" for a few days. I have heard bad things about Effexor and do not recommend it to anyone.

I'm on 150mg effexxor right now and can't tell it's even there.
