25 mgs. of Zoloft ?
I too am on Zoloft. Took it about two years ago and it worked great for me. This time around having some side effects. Nausea is a big one (no vomiting, just nausea) and diarrhea. Gross I know, sorry. But I talked to my pharmacist and he said it is common to have nausea and diarrhea the first month. If it proceeds past that time, talk to your doc about switching. All meds effect everyone differently and worked for you before may not work for you again. Also, some generics have different side effects. Some batches have different side effects. There are always risks with medicine but you have to weigh the good vs the bad. Is it helping more than hurting? If you simply cannot bear it, ask your doctor to change it. But know that any medicine you take will have some sort of side effect. Take comfort in knowing they will usually go away. Hang in there.
There are 2 problems with googling side effects:
For me, knowing them would up the chance I'd get them. There's wisdom to the saying "ignorance is bliss".
Second, it's so variable. I had a wonderful experience on Lexapro but have read other people's account's of horrific experience on it. Recently someone told me Cymbalta was a wonder drug for them, but it made me crawl the walls and nearly have a mental break!
Unfortunately, SSRI's are trial and error for the most part. I got lucky last time...the second one worked. My cousin loved Zoloft so I thought I'd give it a try, but alas, it didn't work for me. My health is fine...as I said, I'll try without for now but if all else fails, there's always Lexapro!

i have been on zoloft for 4 years. i take 150mg. if anyone has questions feel free to ask me as well. i was afraid of taking meds for a long time. i felt like it meant i was weak and couldnt do it on my own. but i came to understand that it's nothing to be ashamed of. my therapist said to me...your body needs it and you wouldnt tell a heart patient to stop taking their meds.
