Funny, I never noticed anything good in my mood unless good things start to happen. No pill has ever made me feel like a million dollars or even just "good". good healthy food, exercise, sunshine, good friends, good times and relaxing are the best ingredients for getting yourself back together again.

Thanks Cream cheese puff ~ My supplements came last week. As my field is natural medicine I always check anything that goes into my system against any AMA meds I take. Since the formulation has 50 mg of 5 HTP I can't take it. HTP is contra-indicated for anyone on anti-depressants, just as St. Johns Wort is. If you are on any anti-depressants (SSRIs or MAOs), do not take 5 HTP or St. Johns Wort. (John McManamy 'Living with Depression and Bipolar).

The supplements have a lot of good ingredients in them as listed on th back of the box. It always amazes me when a doctor is asked to pass sentence on something natural--med schools back then had no herbals to consult. I've been speaking to physicians for 15 years to educate them. All they can do is mimic the phrase "well you can't standardize herbs, vitamins, and supplements." But, yes you can and the natural wellness industry is doing that now. Because the natural field seeks to go into the body and retrain the body to make it's own repair, doctors are afraid we won't need them...and we won't.

That being said vitamins, supplements, essences, herbs, and homeopathic remedies are considered 'medicine' by many of us who practice within the industry. It is never safe to go into a drug store and come out with a bagfull of natural remedies. Seeing a natural health practitioner is the best way to go. It can open up homeopathy, naturopathy, diet and exercise, accupuncture, massage, and chiropractic to you--all disciplines that can work well with most AMA pharmaceuticals.

To dins a professional homeopath you can go to:

And for a good naturopath (one who uses many different disciplines) you can go to:

Hope this helps.
Warmly ~
Mary
