Bitterbug,
I too have that awful feeling if I don't eat regularly. But my blood sugar they say is fine. I have cut out most of my sugar intake and all caffeine and that really helps.
And zoloft did not like me at all. I took one pill and was terrible ill the next day - very nauseous and felt like I had overdosed on drugs. I would never take it again. Ativan I have been able to tolerate - but only a very small dose.
I am on prozac but have gradually cut down and will cut out completely soon.
I would say stick with the program. Do everything it tells you to do, over and over again until it becomes second nature. It's the only way and it will help you.
New and scared to death
I tried Paxil CR and was the same way as flippinkid was with the Zoloft. I was whacked out and barely made it home from the doctors appt. So I also tried prozac once and it caused me to have anxiety attacks. I would be in my office at work literally sitting on the floor freaked out.
I currently take ativan 0.5mg prn anxiety. Its okay but doesn't last long. The doctor is changing me to Hydroxyzine prn TID. I am afraid to try it but I guess I will. I have 5 days off so we will see if I get the courage to change over from ativan to hydroxyzine. I am always afraid I am going to have some bad reaction to a med.
I still think the program is the best treatment.
