Hello Tigerman,

I found a professional herbalist from a friend of mine. He gave me the nutritional/herbal supplement support that my body needed. Seeing someone who has a background with herbs/supplements, etc. is very effective rather than guessing what is needed from the health food store. My herbalist has a Ph.d. in nutrition and has developed his own line of products. They have worked wonders for me. My thyroid was out of wack and he brought that back into balance. Since the thyroid is the mother of all hormone activity/interaction in your body, it needs to be in check for everything else to be in check. Now that my thyroid and IBS/GERD, etc. is all in check and he has peeled away the layers of body troubles I was having at the surface, we now understand that I am going through perimenopause. This is a hormone issue and I now get hormone cream from my herbalist for this as well. You might try seeing someone that can test you for exactly what you need. Herbal/supplemental therapy is extremely effective when taking those needed for your particular health needs and from someone who is a professional naturopathic physician.

Good luck - Eileen

Hi Everyone, Hope you are feeling good today. I have tried a lot of different supplements both during my use of AD's and other scripts and since going off them. The one I have so far found to work for me is called Sam E. I buy it at Walmart. It has been advertised on tv recantly. It's a mood enhancer plus good for the liver...so they claim anyway. I know my mood is different when on it ( took about 8 days for me to feel the affects ) as I was out of them for 4 or 5 days and man did I feel lousy and irritable and had a full blown anxiety attack. I also am taking calcium with magnesium and zinc and vitamin D twice a day and am now drinking 2 glasses of orange juice a day. Apperently calcium and vit C aid in sleep and I have to say I was already sleeping before I heard this. Also calcium has stopped my acid reflux all together after taking it for past two months. I am off my prescription drug which still left me with heartburn especially laying down. I have no heartburn at all now. I just started on a new supplement yesterday called Macafem. I researched it on the net & they claim it regulates our hormone producing glands and is used for pre menapausal, meapausal & post meapausal women in place of <span class="ev_code_PURPLE">HRT which is not good for many women to take</span>
They say it may take 2-3 weeks for many and up to 2-3 months for others to feel it's full affect. Also it's safe with all other meds you may be taking. It's worth looking up if you fall into the category.
The Good Days Vitamins I recieved with my program...I took only 1 the other day. I seemed to feel moew anxious that day & had a hard time falling asleep that night. Now it may be just coincidental..I don't know. We all react differently to even viamins. What may work wonders for some may not work at all or will act totally different for others. I will try them again in a couple of weeks when I'm farther through the program. Just starting session 4 today. I'm also able to and am drinking water with apple cider vinegar...something my stomach would never allow me to do before due to the burning it caused from my acid reflux and sores in my stomach. It's great for so many things. Hope this was helpfull for some of you. I will post after taking the Macafem for a month or more & let you ladies know if it's doing anything noticable for me. I know one thing ( for me ) I feel so so much better now than I did 3 months ago while taking all my prescribed drugs. I wish the same good feelings for everyone with both prescribed meds and or natural products and supplements.

It's a beautifull, cool, sunny autumn type day here and I love it !! :) :D

Have a great day!! Smile and be patient and kind to yourself.

Hello Eileen, I am interested in hesring more about your experiences with an herbal doctor. I have tried the Western Medicine side and am not too impressed. My ailments are a result of two head injuries I experienced at 3 yrs. and at 17 yrs. I have tried just about every American treatment there is for brain disorders and am left with more questions and an empty wallet. I have heard that accupuncture, yoga, and massage work well for anxiety and depression, but all of this is very expensive. Sure it would be nice to pamper myself weekly, but I just called an herbal doctor who does accupuncture and she charges $75 a treatment. In your experiences Eileen, what has worked for you in Eastern Medicine?

What's the Multi-Mega formula? I've only heard about the Positive Mood formula (which I think is wonderful...)?

Hi Connie, I'm so sorry you're having so much anxiety right now. It's definitely no fun and all you can think about is that you just want it to go away. Don't know if you have the program yet, but if you do, at the very least, get started with the relaxation cd. It will take repeated listening and practice, but you will begin to relax and lessen your symptoms. As for medication, you really need to talk with your Dr. about what might be best for you, depending on what other meds you may be taking. As for me, Xanax .5mg is the medicine I take for extreme anxiety as needed and it works very well for me but some people don't like the way it makes them feel. I have never taken it on a regular basis nor was it prescribed that way for me. But when my anxiety has been such that I've felt incapacitated by it, I take the xanax and it just takes the edge off so I can function and I eventually forget about those anxiety symptoms. I only take it very rarely now and only 1/2 tablet then. The relaxation cd , the program sessions I've done to date and participating on this forum have helped me so much and I think they will help you, too. Talk to your Dr. about a medication for your anxiety and good luck and God bless!
