Heightened anxiety from Celexa (generic)

I've been on Celexa for almost 7 years now. It took a good month to fully kick in but I was anxiety free for 6.5 years.

<span class="ev_code_RED">??New to CELEXA as well....</span>I WAS on EFFEXOR for over a year and going to therapy for occasional panic and social anxiety. (I also take Clonazepam..Generic for Klonopin which DOES help with the panic, and DOESN't make me sleepy like Xanax did.)<span class="ev_code_BLUE">My prescribing Psych.MD was kind enough to supply me with SAMPLES for the Effexor, but then the Manufacturer announced there would be no more samples.....a generic was out. (GREAT! I thought.....JUST AS MY INSURANCE ENDED, AND I could use FREE SAMPLES MORE than EVER! Long story short, I had to go to a DIFFERENT MD for meds, CAN'T afford the counseling, and she TRIED PROZAC on me (which gave me headaches).....so I'm going on my 2nd week of CELEXA generic.</span>I TRULY hope it works!! (Unfortunately, so far, it's been my experience with the SSRI's that they DO help SOME with the depression, but NOT MUCH with ANXIETY, which is my MAIN PROBLEM!! I'm hoping the CELEXA is different.
