Hi there.
It sounds like effexor has worked well for a lot of you. In a couple of your responces, you had said that you were off of it and then went back on it. How was it to do off of effexor?
I am scared to be on a drug the rest of my life and I want to know if the symptoms returned when you got off the drug and how difficult it was when you were not taking it.

Wow. I am new to the program. I did not know so many people took Effexor. I had never heard of this medication before from anyone. I have been having panic attacks since May of 2007. My doctor put me on Effexor because I was so bad. I was actually afraid to take any type of medication but was told at the time that I needed something to help me. At first I did not think that it would work. My doctor told me that it would take several weeks before it would kick in. I have been on it since June 19, 2007 and it really is helping me cope. I take 225 mgs a day. I take it just before I go to bed. If you have something to eat first, then take the medication and go to bed, it is a little easier on the stomach. As well, you must drink lots of water with it. Hope this helps. I also wish everyone total success to get better soon.
