Prozac and dreaming

I have a question to ask. I have been on Prozac 10mg for about 3 months now. I love the medicine. I suffer from anxiety and OCD thoughts. This medicine has helped me tremendously. I was just wondering if anyone has ever taken prozac and had crazy dreams? I dream every single night, sometimes I have 2-3 dreams that I remember a night. My husband said to stop thinking about it that I should be happy becasue at least I am sleeping now. Before I was not able to sleep well. The dreams are weird dreams. They are not always nightmares but just funny and weird. I can even get up to use the bathroom and wake from a dream and then go back to sleep and start my dream right where I ended before I woke up. Oh well. I think the medicine has helped me alot. I have not taken a xanax in about 8 weeks since this medicine got into my system. The thoughts still come and go but I do not have as much anxiety like I did. I thought I was going crazy....Thanks. Also have a little twitch from the medicine. The doc says this is normal too. My muscles twitch every once in a while. Not a big deal and not really noticible. Just to me. LOL

i can totaly relate. im also on Prozac 20mg thou. and i have dreams almost every night. no nightmares but weird crazy dreams. This medication is helping me compared to who i was a year ago. It works good but dont get whats up with the dreams. I dont mind though cuz its just funny. As long as i get enough sleep everyday im good. And i do think its also weird when i wake up to go use the restroom and go back to sleep my dream is to be continued... Wounder how that works. LOL...

I can def relate. I am on 60mg and moving up to 80mg. I have the craziest dreams and even if I wake up I lay down and contiue it or even have another dream. I have had a few nightmares from stuff I watched before I went to bed. but it is what it is.

I am taking 40mg of fluoxetine a generic of Prozac. I find I hv vivid dreAms as well. I hv a lot of nightmares too. I am dealing w a lots of anxiety and I think I hv OCD but not diagnosed. I will get fixated on something n can't get it out of my mind until I do something about it. I am always tense. Going toba chiropractor n that is helping w some of the hip, back,neck, n shoulder pain I'm experiencing it seems I have a rib out as well. So all o this has caused a lot of physical stress on my body as well as emotionally n mentally because work called me into a meeting telling me I wasn't the same person they hired in Jan. So been stressed about loosing my job too. I also work w 4 & 5 yr olds. I'm a pre-kindergArten teAcher. Love what I do but high stress. I'm thinking about adding anxiety meds to help me.
