Hi Sandina!!!
I see you and I started at about the same time last year... It is nice to see your screen name again!
I am not a professional Medical person. I have just helped a few people get into the medicine by helping them study and heard their experiences in their fields of expertiese.
My thoughts were... women are nortorious for Low Calcium. It is normal for women to get this side effect from low calcium. Cymbalta is a safe Drug. Be sure to share with your Dr. concerning this development. Seadog

If I dont take it because I forgot I get very sick feeling all over my body. I ache so badly I feel like I am dying from something!! i also get brain fog, paranoid and shakey/weak and my equilibrium goes haywire. i feel a strange tingling sensation in my brain/head and I have to laydown for the rest of the day and my breathing becomes affected.
I just feel like hell when I miss just one, so I dont miss them anymore!!!I cannot even fathom going off of it.
I would have to be hospitalized and medicated w/ something else for the severe body pain and all the symtoms. Horrible!

Hey Seadog, thanks for the friendly words. Maybe a year ago reading negative info would have put me in a tizzy, but not now. I'm going to stay on the Cymbalta unless it becomes intolerable. As for now it's made me feel better than I've felt in years, despite the mild side affects.
As for coming off a med, I had to go off Xanax and that was not a treat, so I am well aware that if I ever do quit the Cymbalta it will not be easy.
Thank you everyone for your words of support!

"The" medicine... ???
Don't you just hate it when we make Typos?
It is sure nice that those things don't bother me like they used to.
I hope you're having a Good weekend, Seadog
I have been on Cymbalta for over a year. It was prescribed in place of my other med for depression. It was also prescribed for my fibromyalgia. I am not sure if it is why I have the muscles twitches or because I have MS. MS can cause the twitches as well. I have never had any chest pain, but I do have problem with insomnia (as you can see since it is about 2 a.m. at the moment). I will talk with my doctor the next time I see him.
Okay so yesterday I went to my doctor. He says that most of the "side affects" I thought I was having are from other stuff, not the Cymbalta. For example, this irritating cough I have he says is allergies. He did say, however, that the hot flashes and sweats are probably from the Cymbalta. I can handle that... better than the alternative!
Thanks for all the advice everyone!
