I had used St.John's Wort years ago and I liked it but it seems that the different brands worked differently and took trial and error to find a brand that worked well. I also have used Passion Flower Extract which for me works very well for anxiety. Rescue Remedy worked well also but was very short lived relief. Some people like Kava but for me it made me light headed and dizzy. I never noticed any weight gain on St.John's Wort when I took it.

Rescue Remedy works well for me, too, but the effect seems to last about an hour. I know of another person who also takes it, and for her the calming effect lasts only about 20 minutes. Everyone's body chemistry is different!

I've been wanting some information.
Some on here recomened magnesium to help with sleep. So I've tried it and it seems to help.
But I don't know how much of it I should take.
Does anyone know? I'm trying 500 mlg. a day.
(2 tablets of 250 mlg.) But I'm a little uneasy about it. I don't know how much is okay.
I am always interested in the natural helps.
Could some one let me know how much of the magnesium is safe?
Thanks.

I take about 400mg of mag a day but if I take more than this I get a stomach upset. I do know people who take 800mg mag a day and they are fine though.

I take powdered shakes 3X a day from Reliv. It helps with many things. I did cut my Lamictal down to l tab. a day. Most people take 2 shakes a day and get relief from many ailments including anxiety, panic, depression, thyroid issues, fibromyalgia etc. It's healthy food that feeds your immune system and builds new cells. If you'd like to know more you can PM me.

There is sooo much out there and some natural/all natural products work better for different people. You should look on-line for natural supplements but you should talk to your doctor or someone well versed in this area possibly at the health food store.

Hello Mary Wargo:
Thank you so much for your reply. That helps a lot.
The magnesium does help. But, yes, my stomach is a bit torn up.
I will cut one of those tablets in two.
You've given me the information that I needed.
Thanks again.

Hello all:
I am thinking of getting some %-HTP.
Does anyone know what is a good dose of that.
How many mlg.for instance?
I am thinking of ordering it from PURITAN PRIDE
vitamin catalog. It comes in 100 mlg. capsules. Is this too much?
Or does this sound about right?
If anyone has information on this , please reply.
Thank you.
