more than 100 mg of zoloft?
I have been on 100 mg of zoloft for a little over 3 weeks and still not feeling great. Should i give it more time or go up on the dose? My doctor suggests i go up. He mentioned why be on medication if it's not giving you the full effect. I'm scared to increase the dose. Can anyone who is on over 100 mg of zoloft help me out with any suggestions. Thanks!!
Rosie,
I'm not sure if this info will help, but yesterday I saw a psychiatrist to get on an anti-depressant, and I told him that I took zoloft for about a month, but since I felt no effects, I stopped taking it. He told me that there will be absolutely no effects of taking SSRI until the medicine is taken for at least 6-8 weeks. I would recommend giving it another few weeks and then deciding how well it works for you then.
But also, a friend of mine is on 150mg of Zoloft, and he's perfectly normal. He suffered with awful anxiety and panic attacks.

Hi Rosie,
I was on zoloft 50 mg eight weeks before moving up to 100mg, gave that another month, and agreed with my dr's advice to go to 150. Her advice is if we are going to bother treating it, we should TRULY treat it. What's the point in taking a lower dose that doesn't help?
I feel much better and more consistent on 150 mg. I am also watching caffeine intake. I am a huge coffee fan, I even have an espresso machine, but I unwillingly admit caffeine can make me feel anxious for up to 8 hours. If you are going to be sitting around, don't have coffee or stimulants.
Good luck, keep working with your doctor and give it time.
Heather
