At 51 I find myself for the first time not able to work long hrs any more. Having had a back problem most of my life and now my agoraphobia setting in I find without family to help, I need to look to some help and don't know what to do. I take 2 medications klonopon and effexor. been afraid to go out so am almost finished with my meds trying to make the last 20 tabs last., and being in a new state need to re-establish doctors. I break out in a sweat getting in the car let alone seeing people. A friend gave me an older mobile home and I am ok except need to pay lot rent. I would only need $400 a month to get by. At age 60 my x husband may retire and we have been married 27yrs so i am entitled to the retirement as it says in the divorce papers. A stay at home mom no career back problems and afraid to go out. I just want to survive. Any suggestions? experience in this?

Have you considered babysitting? I've done that many times in the past--taken in a child or two--when I did not feel able to go out and work. It's easy to make $400 a month and more even with one child or doing it part-time. And it is very fulfilling if you love children. Just have lots of story books around to share. They love that and it's a great distraction for our anxious minds, too. Just one suggestion.
