Wk 3 for me. Had a good couple of days. My heart feels like it is racing again. It is all I can think about every hour of the day!!
Does anyone else have this problem?
Wk 3 Heart is still Racing!!!
oh dear yes i have that problem. like you feel like your going to have a heart attack or something and your heart keeps pounding and racing...its all the anxiety adrenalan (cant spell)dont worry you;ll be fine. i had that last a while but it goes away and you wont even notice it. promise. when it happens tell yourself its all anxiety and know it'll go all away. watch tv or do yoga.
jenn, my heart always raced after lunch and i finlly figured it out it was because i drank sweet tea at lunch and i got scared that after lunch i would have to go home because of my heart racing. how high does it get? i went to the er and they almost killed me because they gave me a med to stop my heart and re-start it but it didnt work because it was anxiety. that day i went to my doc after lunch and he said my heart was a little fast so he did a ekg. so now its even faster because i worked myslf up to that state. so i went to the er and guess what it was even faster 200 per minute. i scared myself so bad i could not control my heart. the heart meds did not work finlly after telling the er doc repeatly that all i needed was advin to clam me down thats when i felt better. sure it still goes fast but if i focus on it my heart rate will increase. i hope this helps.thanks tony marano columbus ga

I have cut down on a.m. coffee and it has helped
a lot. I didn't realize it but I was drink almost a half a pot. I would have a big cup while getting ready in the am then I would fill
my big mugg and take it with me in the car.
So maybe try to cut down on caffiene and sugar.
And don't dwell on the feelings distract yourself with something else and do the breathing exercises/listen to the relaxation tape. Just tell yourself that it's just anxiety
and that it will pass.

Hi Everyone:
I am on week 5 and am feeling really well. I have always exercised and never really ate any sugar because I have had lactose intolerance all my life and never was able to have all the sweet goodies out there. My problem is giving up caffeine. I can't believe how hard it is. Does anyone have a sure fire way to kick it? I do know that my anxiety would be so much better if I didn't drink the caffeine. Thanks everyone for your help.
