IT has been quite some time since I last posted on here. I am writing today because I just had another bout of anxiety. I was doing so great with the program and then all of a sudden, last night, as I was just getting to sleep, I began to experience tremors (shaking of the body), my pulse sped up and I had to catch my breath. It was very scary!
So, needless to say, I went to my doctor this morning. She told me that tremors can actually be a symptom of anxiety. I was NOT aware of that. SO she has ordered a cat scan and a few blood tests for me tomorrow just to rule out any other possibilities.
I feel that I am starting over from scratch!! It sucks.
Does anyone else experience tremors as part of their anxiety??

Hello Wynstar 84,
I have never had tremors before with anxiety but I'm glad your doctor was able to let you know that the tremors are a symptom of anxiety. For me when I find out what's contributing to my anxiety it eases my mind. Please don't feel you are starting from scratch. I often think of an analogy I read once. It said " If you are climbing a set of stairs and you fall down, do you go all the way back to the first step and start all over? No you get up where you fell and continue up the stairs." Please keep going forward with the program it will provide the help you need. Also, I was wondering if you were anxious about something before you went to bed that triggerd everything? If you don't mind I'd like to know what your doctor finds out about your tremors. You are in the right place for help so many have provided much needed encouragement for me!

Well, thanks for responding to my post.
I had the scan and other tests run today and I find out the results next Thursday. I felt relieved when the I was able to leave the hospital. The way I look at it is, surely to GOD they wouldn't have let me go if there had been a huge abnormality or life threatening issue, RIGHT?
N e ways, about your question, I had found out that my best friend's mom had been diagnosed with lung cancer, my husbands boss had a heart attack, my cousins mother died of unknown causes and my dads high school friend passed away from cancer! All of these events took place within 3 days!! I am sure that these events were the cause of the tremors.
I will let you know the results when I find out. I have done some research and found that there are others who have tremors along with their anxiety....it was very reassuring!!
