First day off "Effexor"

Hello,
Today is my first day coming off of effexor. I was down to 37 mg.... I'm so scared!!! I hear terrible withdrawl symptoms. Is there anyone out there that has experienced few if any? I'm feeling very anxious right now. I have been weaned down to 37 mg for over 2 months now, so does this mean that I may not experience any withdrawls? I'm going to start the program, "attacking anxiety" over again. I purchased it a few years ago, but then went on effexor XR. I would love to hear from anyone....Even if it's not so good...

hi dimples i was on effexor several years ago winged myself from it i dont remember side effects hopefully it will be that way for you to.im curios as how you feel about being on the program and taking medicine and doing the program im on my 6th session and find that i need medicine i do believe this program is a blessing but am concerned of my progress on medicine

Doriana -

I stopped taking Effexor about five years ago and also slowly tapered off of it. I was originally taking a dose of 150 mg per day. For me, there were two symptoms of withdrawal and both of them were relatively minor. The first was heart palpitations and the second was irritability. Both of them passed within a week or two. I hope your transition goes as smoothly.

Thanks for replying back! Today, I'm feeling a little spacy, but I hope it's the only symptom. I'm trying the program again, but without medications this time. I don't want to get hooked on them.
