Yes, yes, yes!!! Unfortunately I'm also a hypochondriac and an obsessive symptom surfer...so I'm sure I'm dying. Truth is, it's probably indigestion brought on by stress and anxiety...I've had it before, and many in my family have a tendency for bad digestion (and anxiety), the oldest is 81 years young. The trick is convincing myself of that - the program is definately helping. I've done some research, and appearantly for those of us who suffer this you should avoid certain foods:
tomatos, chocolate, coffee, tea, and alcohol. I always thought is was spicy foods and was avoiding them to no avail, but have found some relief since cutting out tomatos, and tomato products. Unfortunately the list of no-no's are some of my favorites, and so far I'm only cutting out tomatos and I hope it works. About 15 years ago I had these exact same symtoms during a particularly stressful time, cut out coffee, and it went away. They say it helps to keep a food journal, I'm not there yet, but who knows. Cut out out the offenders one-by-one and see if it helps.

Hi!! WOW!! All this time I had thought something was wrong with me..I had a ekg, stress test and blood work..so YES I so know what you are feeling. At times I have felt it all day and I would rub my chest all day long thinking that was going to help..it has gone away somewhat but I have also done the same..I have cut out anything acidic. I don't eat a whole lot so my acid is not from my food so much as it is from all my stressing out. I hate taking meds but I did take some over the counter acid reliever and it worked one day. I thought it was my heart but I am doing this to myself. God bless you all!

I used to have this same feeling all the time. I had all kind of tests done too thinking the worst. It eventually goes away. My chest still feels a little discomfort at times, but I don't worry about it as much, and it goes away once again! Acid reflux, chest aches, chest discomfort, burning in the chest, is all common when you have anxiety, and stress. Beleive me I'm still learning this! You'll be ok!
