Today i got my medication. Which is Zoloft ..
Right now i am stressed out becuase i am afraid to take it. But i do have these problems the most...
-extreme stress and irritated at even talking to someone or doing anything.
-scared of riding in cars or going to places.
-aches and pains and tmj
-extreme paranoid thoughts thinking somethign bad will happen
- shaking and alot of dizziness lately with no energy
I mean .. has anyone had those symptoms and taken this medication that helped them with those problems?
The only thing when i feel calm is when i sit down somewhere away from people and try not to think of alot of paranoid things worrying about if i will ever get better.
My main concern about Zoloft. Is that if i can help me and NOT make me gain weight because my number one reason why i am depressed is because i hate myself and gaining weight would make it even more worse..
I am so afraid to even ask this question if it will make you gain weight..
If anyone knows if this is the number 1 pill with less side effects or know of another pill with less side effects please let me know..
I'v seen alot of people on this forum afraid to take antidepressants and i can completely understand because im in that situation right now.

My aunt just started to take Zoloft for her depression, she seems to be much happier and does not cry as much. Which is a plus, also she is STILL losing her weight while on them but medication is different for everybody. I wish you good luck taking them and I said a pray. Just try to stay calm and take it one day at a time. (I know eaiser said then done right? I am still learning how to follow my own advice!

Zoloft: It helps some and for me it is doing little. My weight has always been near perfect and I could gain or lose weight easily. I have lost a lot of weight because of lack of appetite. My clothes do not fit as well, so for me Zoloft has not made me gain weight. I am also taking Wellbutrin and hope to soon get off of them both in an exchange for Pamelor a very old anti depressant. I have had depression for many decades and Pamelor is the only one that ever helped. My doctor is willing to perscribe it if I have a stress test and the report is that my heart is strong. I expect that to be the case. I strongly lean toward holistic treatments but they have not helped. I have spent thousands trying to feel decent. I have lost enjoyment of all my simple pleasures. Holistic people say my dep. is emotionally based and conventional med. say it is biological and genetic. I have begun to believe the latter. May we all find what will help us to feel functional and at reasonable peace.
