Anyone have any experience with Wellbutron
I take Welbutrin for Depression and ADHD I love it and have never had any problems with it. I find it to be a very sensitive medication to be on compared to other medications out there, and you don't go through the horrible withdrawls that you do on some other meds...ie..lexapro...it took me a month to get through the withdrawls, and I had done it with my psycs help. This has been my experience with Wellbutrin, everyone is different, so I can't really tell you how you are gonna react. I have not had any side effects that im aware of. TC Karen
I took it for a long time many years ago. At first I felt better than I ever had in my life but that went away in a short time. It helped me stay active and interact with people.
It was before they came out with the long-acting version and if I didn't take the next dose on time I quickly withdrew.
After a couple years I didn't think it did enough to merit continuing it.
When I started it up again a few years later I was so spaced out I ran a red light and also lost my wedding and engagement rings. I was so upset over that I quit taking it.
I never had any withdrawal that I was aware of.

I was on Wellbutrin XL for several years before I had a grand mal seizure. It was the first antidepressant that I had taken in 24 years that really made a difference. After all types of tests, the doctors determined the seizure was not caused by epilepsy, but from taking the Wellbutrin XL. I had taken Wellbutrin SR prior to XL with no side effects, but no benefits. My only health problem prior to the seizure was depression which I have suffered from since childhood. My symptoms prior to the seizure were a sudden feeling of wanting to throw up and faint at the same time. I would feel this instant wave of heat go through my head. Because of my age, I assumed it was the beginning of hot flashes. I now know it was brain activity. Many people have had great success with the medication without complications, but beware that seizures are a possibility. It is scary, I had been driving earlier that day.
Dream Girl, i had read that this could cause seizures at high doses, what dose were you on? i have been given 150mg, mainly to quit smoking adn hope to cure some grouchies i have, but i have not started because i am so scared of side effects. if it doesnt matter about the dose amount, that seizures happen, then i am not going to take it. thanks for any info
