Xanax Alone?
I'm new on here. I have been taking xanex for about 13 years at 1 mg twice daily. It is the only med that has ever helped me, and I have tried a lot! I would like to eventually lower my dose and be free of pills but I take them for other medical reasons too. I have fybromyalgia and I take pain meds that I would like to eventually taper off also. I'm sure this program will help me, but I have also been reading a book called "Shift Happens" and it's WONDERFUL!!! But, yes, I agree that xanex is very addictive, it would probably take me a while to get off of them. I get very shaky and have horrible anxiety if I run out early.
I agree. I took it years ago for over a year without a problem. But, this time it wasn't helping. So, on to something else. Everyone is different.
Last night I took a Cal-Mag vitamin and slept great. I had heard it may help. It is probably not the only thing that helped but I"m not going to complain!
I'm working on my low blood sugar diet too and have been feeling better today.

Oh, and much respect for people that are going at it all natural. I personally wish I would have done that years ago...But I've never had any of the bad experiences like the ones I read. It has only helped me:) I have tried several different antidepressants, and ALL of them made me feel psycho! Guess it does depend on the person.

I'm reading a book called "The Low Blood Sugar Handbook" it helps you identify if you have it and what to do about it.
I'm not all that tough I just freak out when I take antidepressants so I have to try something else. And of course this time the Xanax.
I tried Klonapin years ago I wonder if that would work better for me. In the mean time I think I'll work on the diet and see.

This is just my personal feelings about xanax. I would do just about anything if I would have known how addictive it is and how hard it is too stop taking it after you start. I wish I would have known about this program and I think I would have been able to manage my panic attacks without it. I've cut way down on the amount I take now but it has taken months and I still get sick with cramps, stomache aches and worse panic attacks everytime I cut it down a little more. But only for a week or so then my body adjusts to the lesser amount but I feel like it's taking forever to beable to get all the way off of it since I was taking so much. About 3ml a day, now down to one. Anyway I hope you feel better without having to take xanax. Good luck whatever you do.
