I wish I knew more about bi-polar meds so I could help you but sadly I don't. I do however sincerely hope you are able to find one or a combo that works for you with less side effects!
Is medication-free really possible?
Thx bro for answering for me.Originally posted by egriff:
First good job to all those who are doing well off of meds.
www.tao3.com is the website for the book by sam obitz and I believe it has more info on the TEA forms there which stands for Thought-Error-Analysis.
This is great advice!Originally posted by Celyon:
Hi Eric,
I am so happy the program is helping, but remember DO NOT STOP TAKING MEDS WITHOUT THE HELP OF YOUR DOCTOR. THIS CAN HAVE VERY BAD SIDE EFFECTS. If you are being treated for bio-polar disorder you may need your meds for a good little while.

Hi eb, and thanx egrif and kgirl, you guys have no idea how you made my day. I think that was so sweet what you all said about my cat's thoughts. I did save her from the mean streets when she was pregnant, so you're probably right! To answer your question about bipolar anxiety: For me, it's extreme mood swings--manic, verrrry up (happy, busy, can save the world, can't stop talking, can't sleep, grandious ideas, to verrrry down, (just want to sleep, don't want to see anyone, take a shower, clean my house, imobile on the couch, nothing is good). There are different types mine is the rapid cycling, from one extreme to the other in a short period of time. There are people that go weeks one way, and then weeks at the opposite end, I understand. My family can tell which end of the spectrum I'm in just by the sound of my voice on the phone. There are also periods that are in-between..just to complicate it further. Egrif I'm definently going to check out that book..and kgirl, I saw some of your other posts and I agree being close to God, whatever that means for you, is one of the only thing that consistantly helps! Sorry so long..little manic now!
Hey Egriff, and eb, worked through the holidays, in travel industry. Glad it's over, to be honest. I haven't looked at the book yet, I always seem to start like three books at once. and never finish any. I have a library of motivational books, basically. I have hopes for a good year, I never do seem to give up hope. How was your holidays? Thankyou so much for uplifting words!
Thanks Miami/Imtired I was confused at first. Now I just have to try and remember that you have two names on hereOriginally posted by imtired:
opps, I'm miamikittycat, but can't figure out that log-in password. I'm also under imtired!
Travel industry huh? That seems like it would be stressful during the busy holiday season. Glad you got through it!
My holidays went better than I expected so I started the new year with more energy than I normally do so I am feeling optimistic right now. I know what you mean about not finishing self-help and motivational books. The shorter the book the better with my lack of a decent attention span
