I am not sure if I am a failure or just too old to be in control any longer. I am now 89 and as hard as I have tried, I just can not fight it any longer and I need help. So, I am back to square one. Lession #1.
I just wanted to check in and say hello. I also wanted to tell you that because I failed, it does not mean you will. These Lessons got me through the death of my husband and my mother. I nursed both of them until they died. After that I went to pieces. I was mentally and physically exhausted.
And I was really ready to pack it in when I heard about this program. So, I decided it was going to be time to stand up and get back to the normal me. I had a business to run and animals to care for and so I completed the course. That was about 2006. I did well until 2012 when I went to see my cardiologist because I was feeling very tired and she kept me there in the hospital and had a pacemaker put in the same day. Now, I am so full of anxiety when I have to go see her I begin having panic attacks weeks ahead. In fact I have an appointment Feb. 5th and I have had 2 panic attacks in the last three days.
Also, I have an vestibular problem called labyrinthitis and I now have vertigo which also causes anxiety because it blurs my vision, makes me sick to my stomach, puts me off balance even more than ever, etc.
Now you know why I am here again. I know this is not fun and games and life is so very short especially when you are 89, but I am determined to beat this again. I may be old, but I am one tough/active old lady when I am not anxious. Wish me luck and pray for me to not have a heart attack when I go to the cardiologist in February. JB
