I am seeing an Endo and feel that he is much worse than my General Practitioner.
He is one arrogant SOB, who is bought and paid for by Synthroid.
his one saving grace is that he is more aggressive with treatment and TSH than my GP, but that is about it.
I am thinking about ditching him in favor of my GP.
I may have left some notes of this guy in my previous posts...or maybe that was on about.com...

I saw my GP recently and i am dealing with hypothyroidism. I Told her that i had had a period where i suddently began having major panic attacks. Yes there was a serious family issue to deal with but this was unusual. At the same time I was diagnosed with this thyroid problem. I seem to be getting better with the Levoxyl (can't spell it at the moment). haven't had any attacks and i am dealing better. Listening to the CD's was extremely helpful as well. My only problem is seeing my hair come out 1 by 1. Hope it groes back!!! We are all in this together.

thanks, meme.
its funny, but I was having extreme panic attacks too...I did not know what it was at the time, but i swore it was food poisoning. doctor ran every kind of test, and then had me come back for another blood test and found my TSH as 31.
Now, my mother always delt with anxiety and there were some situations and HOW I VIEWED the situation that caused alot of anxiety for me.
This same thing happened to me last Spring, as I quit my job of 5 years because of its stressful nature, the pressure at home to buy a house (with the income from said toxic job), start a family (with the same source of income), and while going to school full-time. I got married, moved into a job poor area (felt trapped at my toxic job), started a new, toxic job w/nasty co-workers, and placed enormous pressure on myself to succeed.
Now, I always have done this to myself (in terms of being hard on myself). For me, I believe that the anxiety and thyroid issues are separate.
I don't doubt what you are saying, and would love to check my cortisol levels to see where they are now that my dosage of Armour seems right. Maybe there have been adrenal issues.
Thanks for your input.
