Today I went to a christian bookstore to try to find some relief...and all I got was a lady telling me that I needed to get on some meds. Then I tried to get some support from my husband who acts like this is all new to him. I have had watery eyes all afternoon because I just want to be normal again. I want to be able to take the bull by the horns and be that bold bodacious girl that wasn't afraid of anything or anybody for that matter. My cds don't work and I think that's just an easy way not to do the program...I don't know...

What do you mean the CDs don't work? Like really don't work or you can't seem to pull them out and work them? A lady here recommended a book that I like. "Freedom from Fear by Dr. Howard Leibgold". It's similiar to StressCenter.com, but different words by a different author and I find it resonates with me better.

I'm sorry that you are running into walls when you try to reach out for help. You can be "normal" and you can take the bull by the horns. Make the commitment to cure, and you will get there. All things are possible with God.

I mean the the first cds will not play...I actually went walking today, I took my two horses and we walked 3 miles. I walked about the first half mile and a major panic attack started. I didn't think I would make it any farther. But I talked to the horses and took deep breaths and we made it.

Dear df_jpp1, Just wanted to encourage you to hang in there. I'm sorry to hear what happened to you at the Christian book store and the lack of support you are dealing with. I have been through that too. I went through a rough time with my husband not understanding to the point we almost separated but, by the grace of God, things have gotten much better. I think sometimes it is hard for others who have never experienced anxiety or panic to understand. There are some really good christian books on anxiety and panic and overcoming fear so keep searching and never give up.
I am so proud of you to hear you were able to get through the panic and continue to walk. I probably would have hopped on one of the horses and ran back as fast as possible! :)

We can do all things through Christ who strenghtens us!!!
