What was I thinking?
I ordered the program for my husband because he discussed with me how he was feeling and I felt this was the best way I could help him. He has been suffering with anxiety, depression and ocd to some degree for years, but he only talks to me when it gets really bad. We have had the program for 3 weeks and he isn't using it. I convinced him to watch the 1st dvd and that was the only thing he did. I am tempted to return it because I don't have the extra money to spend on something that is just going to sit around. I know I can't pressure him to use it, but I have listened to the first 4 lessons and I can clearly see how it would help him if he would just use it! My son (16) also has some anxiety issues and I can't get either of them to even listen to the relaxation cd. Any suggestions on what I should do?

Hi Run4life,
You had very good intentions and wanted to help which is a lot more than some family members do so give yourself credit!!!
I know it's really hard to get someone to admit first off tha they need help and think it's much harder for many men to do so. It's just they feel they will look weak somehow when in fact the strong ones no they need help and just do whatever it takes to feel better.
The old saying " You can lead a horse to water but can't make it drink " was the second thought that came to me. I have no magic answer but wish I did. Maybe if you have a session playing that has a lot to do with their specific issues it will inspire or intrigue them enough to want to hear more. Worth a shot!!
Good Luck,
Let us know if they ever do get at the program.
