Reny, YOU ARE NOT GOING CRAZY!!!! what your experiencing is called depersonalization or derealization. It's very common with anxiety. There is a flood of conversation here on this forum about that very subject. Read them, you will begin to understand just why your feeling that way and it's common amongst us anxious folks. Breath, take a walk, read a good book, listen to some music, etc. Get "out of your head" for awhile. Distract the feeling and know that this will NOT last forever! I'm sorry that your going through this. If you ever get a chance to reading some of "Boon's" post entries, please do! She is full of knowledge when it comes to these feelings. She has helped me and alot of others in understanding how anxiety affects people. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

i know rationally that is what it is but why do i feel like my i am just going to dissapear in crazy land-- i feel soo surreal and like i am just going to collapse and nothing seems right!! i just developed this after my baby was born 8 months ago and i am so scared that i will have to live this way forever!!
just like me, I too started feeling this way after I had my twins. I call it being "overwhelmed" or 'stressed". It is a scary feeling, but remember, it's JUST A FEELING and it will go away!! AS you begin to read other posts you will see that the FEAR of 'going crazy" is common. Crazy people do NOT know that their crazy(they think everyone else is
), therefore if you fear it, it ISNT going to happen to you! you need to "get out of your thinking or head" for awhile. Do something else, other than "thinking" about that 'feeling". I know it seems easier than done, but believe me, I've been right where you are at, and it can be done! If you would like to correspond further with me, that's okay, I will stay logged on. Just writing out your 'feelings" that you are experiencing will help

Okay Rene, there is a post that is entitled "depersonalization" that was posted on June 20th under the "Combatting Stress and Depression Program" thread. there were alot of replys and there is also a an address to another website that is all about "depersonalization". This will help you understand it better. Oh girl, I feel bad for you, but I know what it is so I'm confident it will go away. Please check out this thread, I think it will be good for you to read each reply and you will see that you are NOT the only one feeling this way.
Think about a time where you over exerted yourself, something that required alot of physical activity. such as running real fast.. Remember the feeling afterward..out of breath, a little nauseas, light headed?? well, panic has the same affect. With all the simultaneious thoughts, fear, rationalizing, fear, and the vicious cycle of anxiety, our bodies respond the same way as physical activity. Our body responds to panic as if we ran a race..It doesn't know the difference between physical and something that is being imagined..do you understand what I'm saying???? Your body/mind is tired of the anxiety and it needs rest, time out, etc. This feeling will subside when you can get ahold of the panic mode. YOU CAN DO IT RENE!!! You've got what it takes!!!
