I have been doing mostly OK, sleeping basically OK, even though it has been a difficult month (I had some medical concerns and my 36-year-old cousin diet unexpectedly). But I thought I was managing OK until this week the nervousness is around all the time, and definitely was anxiety in the night. BUT I am telling myself "Just because I felt like this before and it got worse last time...it doesn't mean that will happen this time." Maybe this time I will work harder on positive thinking, float with anxiety, I won't deny it or try to push it away, just accept it. I will keep track of my negative thoughts again and find the error in that thinking and replace with positive thoughts ALL DAY LONG. I am facing a vacation on Saturday that coincidentally is the exact same route and stops of a vacation that I took in the middle of horrible anxiety back in 2006 before I found the StressCenter.com. So it is always stressful getting ready for a trip, but I think some of my anxiety is a memory of that difficult time. Also, have you ever noticed you get through a difficult time and then the anxiety comes a little later? Maybe that is what is going on. I will keep working on it...

Good for you! Sounds like you have the right attitude. That's all we can do - make up our minds to keep working on this.

Have a great vacation!

Thanks Unicorn. I have been trying really hard not to be discouraged by this "growth spurt." I was up some in the night and handled it pretty well, so I am proud of myself. My husband said he was anxious too about the trip and work (and he doesn't have problems with anxiety or sleeping), so that made me feel better that of course I will feel it a little more strongly. My stomach is in a knot, but I tell myself So What? I can still eat! I find the positive thought replacement to be really key. Thanks again for your encouragement.
