Hi all
I'm new to this board and thought I would see if anyone else has this problem.
My number one fear is vomiting/ nausea. Imnot sure where this stems from but I have been battling it for years. Of course it has gotten worse.
So... Basically, I will start panicking which leads to anxiety which leads to nausea. This will lead to more panicking because of the nausea anddo forth.
I used to travel a lot and was very independent. It is to the point where I don't travel anymore and am very co-dependent, especially when feeling sick.
When I was around 20 I was diagnosed with gastritis, colitis, duodenitis and a hietal hernia. I'm thinking it was from all the stress I put on myself.
I'm just curious to know if anyone else has had this problem before.
Anyone else have a nausea phobia?
Kattykyt, I defintely had this problem. Even when I was little, I was deathly afraid of vomitting. Finally sometime in my 20's I had a bug and. While it wasn't pleasant, I didn't die! I actually felt better afterwards. I think finally experiencing it and realizing it was not harmful to me helped me. I think the fear of vomitting is a control issue. I mean, when you have to throw up you can't do anything, but let it happen. That's frightening for us since we like control and certainty. I would suggest addressing your control issues and the need for certainty. Maybe addressing those issues will help you deal with things that are out of your control more easily. Be Blessed!

Thanks for your response. I do agree with the control issue thing. It probably does have something to do with it. The stomach flu hit me the other night and I fought the nausea for 12 hours before I lost the fight. The last time I vomited was 12 years ago when I was hospitalized with all those problems.
I just ordered the program and am determined to finish it.
