I've read many posts here who say that beginning the program has increased some of their anxiety. You're not the only one. It will most probably decrease as you go thru the sessions. You may not be used to addressing some of your anxiety at first, but keep going because it does get better and better.

oh, its definitely normal. my anxiety level rose a lot when i first started the program. its mostly because they're trying to get you to face your anxiety and you're not used to doing that. the key is to not put too much pressure on yourself. just allow yourself to feel it and dont put too much importance on it. it will eventually dissipate.

Before I started the program, I would not talk about, think about, or acknowledge my anxiety if I wasn't feeling it, because I knew this could bring about an attack. I was always so relieved and happy when it wasn't around I just wanted to enjoy my time away from it. But I wasn't dealing with it either. In order to deal with this problem you and I have to acknowledge it and face the fear. It is the only way to beat this thing as you are no longer running away from it but "attacking"it. Since you are focusing on your anxiety and exploring its causes it is completely normal for your anxiety to heighten. Once you have the skills and explore your problem more, your symptoms will lessen greatly. Good luck to you.
