Anyone from TEXAS on Disability due to Anxiety/Bi-Polar?

Is there anyone who can help me? I'm from TX and I have been dignosed as being bi-polar with severe anxiety and panic attacks. My Dr. said I need to apply for disability but everyone i have talked to said it is almost impossible to get it? I was wondering if anyone from TX is on dissability for any of the reasons I listed, if so how hard was it to get approved? Somone please help!!

I live in Pa and am currently out on short term disability due to anxiety and panic attacks. I signed up for a Short Term Disability plan at work so I am currently in the "waiting period" to see if I will get approved. It's scary not knowing, especially because I really need the money.

I applied in my state and I hear they turn everyone down the first time. I ask for a reconsideration and was denied. I called a lawyer who only charges a percentage- and there's a cap on it- of backpay, only if you win. They got my facts and called me back to take my case. I only had to pay for medial record copies for the administrative hearing, and she will handle everything, including the talking in court sometime late this year.
Maybe you can find a lawyer who will work under similar terms. Good luck!
