Hello, I bought the program in 1995, and have been hearing about coaching videos. What are those, and where can I get them?

I'm starting the program all over again after starting it all over again in 2007. I have gone through so much since starting again in 2007. I was doing fantastic. I didn't leave my "comfort zone" for years. I didn't go anywhere that was past 2-3 miles from my house. Since then, I have been going all over, went to Los Angeles(4 hour car ride) two times, went to San Diego (5 hour car ride), became a first time home owner, not afraid to leave my house really anymore. When things started to calm down a bit and we got settled into our new home,I turned 35 years old, my husband lost his job, I started having the symptoms again, the thoughts and worrying about being overweight and thinking I have this and that, and now it seems like I'm weirder than ever, but have been doing pretty good the last couple of days. I have been eating great and exercising and have been taking care of things that need to be taken care of. I even went to an eye dr. appointment...something I avoided doing for years and years and years. I felt so anxious and thought I was going to pass out. But now I know what it was from. It was all PMS!!! Ugh! Has anyone restarted the program two times and had success? I have to be honest, I never worked in my workbook in 2007. I still have the original one from 1995 that I didn't work in either. Will it really help me?

Sorry for the LONG post, lol. I felt rambling on and getting it all off my chest.

I also never carried a notebook with me and never wrote down my negatives and replaced them.

I'm exactly in the same boat as you. Only replace 1995 with 2001. Never finished the program the first time around and didn't write down negative thoughts. I recovered enough and stopped. And now I'm starting it again, cause I guess the first time was enough :)

I'm confident that I can do it and sure that you will be able to as well. There is no magic number of times you can or can't start something...which reminds me of this wonderful quote from Benjamin Button:

"For what it’s worth: it’s never too late or too early to be whoever you want to be. There’s no time limit, stop whenever you want. You can change or stay the same, there are no rules to this thing. We can make the best or the worst of it. I hope you make the best of it. And I hope you see things that startle you. I hope you feel things you never felt before. I hope you meet people with a different point of view. I hope you live a life you’re proud of. If you find that you’re not, I hope you have the strength to start all over again."

:) Keep on going and participate in the March Peer Support group if you want.

A number of us have experienced anxiety in the past and overcame it in one manner or another. In my case, I was able to control it for 40 years but never able to completely banish it from my life. The program has answered a number of questions ans made me look at my life in a different manner.

I believe those of us with anxiety have little confidence in our ability to control our lives and environment.

I believe the program is structured in a manner that forces participation and therefore reinforces our belief that we can indeed gain this control.

It is easy to adhere to the schedule when we are desperate and are looking for any means of relief. We all tend to backslide when we begin feeling good enough to function again.

The program contains the tools we will use to deal with whatever anxiety the future might bring, I expect to never completely file away my notes and course materials

Best Wishes
