For the last 2 1/2 years I have had heart flutters, In that time i have had about every test done on my heart. Last September I was told that I have PVC (premature ventricular contractions and in October had a cardiac ablation done to hopefully correct it. For awhile it seem to be ok but in the last 3 months or so they have come back and worse then before. I have been back to the Doctor and had more test done, They said everything was fine with me heart and the PVC's are not something to worry about. My question is can Anxiety/Panic, Which I suffer from be what is really causing my heart flutters?

Hi there!
Oh yes! Absolutely!! It is anxiety.
I've had them for too many years to speak of.
The more you think about them the worse they'll be.
Do you have the program.
If so, just work on the program and thus, the anxiety.
Listen to the relaxation cd often. As often as you can.
Try not to worry about the Pvc's. They've never completely gone away from me, but they've never damaged me at all. I just ignor them.
Oh yes, I've had the heart tests done. Angiograms and everything. Several years back.
I don't even mention them to the doctor anymore.

Some people don't even feel them. But they used to feel like my heart was turning flips in
my chest.
But here I am, 80 years old and still kicking!!

You'll be okay.
I know it is scary. But just work the program and try and deal with your anxiety. You really are okay.
Best of luck.
Blessings!!
MJ

Yes, I would definitely say it's anxiety related. For me a really bad heart flutter is what gave me my first panic attack about 8 years ago. Since then I've had many heart tests and they all came back fine (except for a normal minor valve problem) and have suffered with anxiety and panic attacks ever since.

Cornflower is right...the more you think about these heart flutters, the more often they seem to happen (which seems weird but has also been true in my case). Mine come and go in spurts and when I do get them I feel as though everyone can see my heart jumping and skipping out of my chest. The best thing to do is just distract yourself from all the chest sensations. Try not to worry about it (I know easier said then done)...you're in good company...this seems to be a common problem among anxiety sufferers.
