Just wondering if anyone out there is always worrying. I was recently brought to the ER and diagnosed with "Hydrops Endolyphatic" similar to Meneirs Disease very strange after many MRI's, Scans, and ENT tests. Also, a cervical spine bulding disk too. Now after reading about my condition I see this could be the side effect of other conditions. Even with the profile they did on me I'm sure I have Parkinson's or ALS something. I spend my time consumed with these thoughts. I'm LOOKING FOR HELP... I feel like the impending doom always and with that I never enjoy the moment or anything for that matter.
I've dealt with anxiety since the age of 14. I'm now 40. I've gone in and out of episodes like this this is the first time they have found something. With that being said, I guess I'm looking to see if anyone out there has been as hopeless as me and actually has turned there thoughts and life around? I'm feeling lost, scared and worried all the time. I don't like this. For once I want to get better and not get back to this place.
Any suggestions?
Worried??
Hello Debs
welcome to the program. I think nearly everyone on here can relate to what you are saying in your post.
Worry, anxiety and fear can lead to feeling down and lonely, like no one understands. You have come to the right place. There are so many caring and compassionate people on here who can so much relate to how you are feeling.
I highly recommend the program. It teaches you great life management skills which can help to turn your worry, anxiety and fear around.
There is always someone on here who has been where you are and can offer words of encouragement to help you on your road to recovery.
Take care and God Bless.

I am so sorry you are suffering. Anxiety is debilitating. It really can ruin your life and when those around you say things like "don't worry be happy" or "why are you so worked up" or "just pull it together/ get over it" then you feel minimized and even worse. I used to wish I had cancer or something concrete so at least there were known ways I could deal with this and people would offer support instead of condescension! We can be wired to worry and have no idea how to stop it or how to think differently, just living at the mercy of the crashing waves and feeling constantly tortured and tense and pressured. You need tools and encouragement and support, all of which you can find here. A good place to start is Lucinda's book From Panic to Power. Can you afford the Stress program? I highly recommend it. It took me from a 10 to a 6 on the scale; now I can live life. I totally sound like an advertisement, but it works. In the meantime, for some immediate relief, try intentionally slowing your breathing and thinking of yourself as an observer of your worrisome thoughts and sensations like you were watching traffic going by/ clouds floating past. The breath can calm you. Also google mindfulness or meditation. I hope you can get some relief. Post again and let me know how you are doing.
