When you feel "normal" - if there is such a thing. I have been come to realize that I have been dealing with anxiety/panic a lot longer than I thought. Working through the program and on Week 5 has made me realize that. My biggest issue is the depersonalization feelings. My life feels as though I am never connected to the moment. The more I come to the present moment - the more uncomfortable I feel. I can be working on anything and really concentrating, and when something outside of my head happens - the phone rings, the dog barks, the kids need my attention, and I become distracted - the worse I feel - the more disconnected.

My thoughts race all day - I feel as though I have full conversations with myself in my heard and am really losing it. If I am not constantly talking to myself and someone else I feel awkward. How does this ever stop - does it ever stop???

I want to really enjoy life - I have a great family and very supportive but feel so disconnected from them.

Thoughts????

yes it does stop.....I like to say the word "overwhelmed" and reading your post you are a mother and a wife and a pet owner and your life is pretty darn hectic right now and thats ok. Dont let the feelings of being overwhelmed in life scare you into thinking its something worse. Congratulations on your program success so far! This program is a wonderfull approach to changing your life and making it better.

My best advice is to slow down and really try to focus on something start slow. If only one thing a day...maybe a quiet moment to read to your kids? Maybe a walk like a family? a bike ride? or sit in the yard and really watch the kids play. Take in the moment dont worry about getting this or that done.

It takes practice we are surely perfectionistic people and we think we need to be "doing" something every moment or we are lazy. Change the word lazy to content. You can do this. Your well on your way!

Deep breath and take time to smell them roses....life is your gift.....enjoy it.
