Update
Hello to my friends, you know who you are, and I hope you are doing well. I have been away from the board for awhile. After 11 months of self-employment with some good and some bad, I have received a job offer and I have accepted. I start after the first of the year. I am unbelievably relieved and grateful. Thanks to the program, I was able to function through the dark times, but now I do more than function. I actually have happy moments again. I was leaning on my husband so much that it was difficult for him to feel free to do anything without me. He was always worried about me, even mad at God for my unhappiness. I am sure that depression and anxiety are hard on our loved ones in a way we find it hard to understand when we are in it. He has been so good to me. I'm relieved for him now that he can feel confident I am okay. The other night, we went to separate Christmas parties. (His work did not include spouses) The party I went to was for the volunteers for the Wellness Community fundraiser 'Holiday Home Tour" event. (I played piano at one of the homes) I had such a wonderful time just being myself, not "single," but not needing a "date" to feel okay. There was a piano player and I sang some songs with him, and had one of those moments where people come into the room going "oooooh!" (in a good way, ha ha) Thank you to my friends here who were great company during many lonely moments. I still search for you but I haven't seen you here in a long time. I have weaned myself off the medication -- don't know if I'm supposed to mention it here -- but it starts with a "W." In retrospect I don't think it was a good medication for me and I feel better being off of it. Just thought I'd share, since I keep silently popping in and out. Thank you everyone, and I wish you a wonderful holiday. Love, Blenderina
