anxiety now a little help
Jp...breathe deep and try and relax. It's probably stress induced. This happens to me as well. As a matter of fact, I'm feeling some anxiety just like you right now. I was feeling ok this morning and just the drive in to work started me off with some uneasiness. It's ok to feel the anxiety. Try and focus away from it with your work or if you can, turn the radio on for background noise. It's stress induced...you're not alone.
I'm at work and I feel the same way. It happens and I just let it ride out. I eat to see maybe I'm just a bit hungry or I drink some water as I could be a lil dehydrated. I get up and walk around the office for a short time and if I have to keep getting up, then I will. I am trying to take the focus off the anxiety and let it pass. I can't let it affect my job performance. This lil episode you're having will pass like the way mine is right now. I can feel my body getting tired from the adrenaline rush of the anxiety I've had for the past hour. I'ts frustrating but you get through them time after time and when you realize they're not a big deal, they will soon disappear.
Hi you guys at work.
Some tips and things to do:
1) tell yourself it's just some anxiety
2) deep abdominal breaths - 4 counts in; 8 counts out
3) remind yourself it'll be over soon
4) distract yourself and do something different
5) get up, stretch, go to the bathroom, walk around the office or go outside for a couple of minutes to change your 'scenery'
6) think of something really really funny
7) talk to the anxiety, dare it to bother you as much as it can; if it leaves ask it to return! (this works for me!)
Hope you guys feel better today!
