Assisted Living
My Grandma may be going to Assisted Living this July and I was wondering...how much will it cost her?

Re: Assisted Living
As far as I know there can be great variance in costs. Some places are subsidized and are for low income people. Some will accept Medicaid; others will not. Some serve 3 meals; others only one. Some provide activities and recreational opportunities which affect cost. Still others will provide tiered care from an independent setting to total nursing home type caretaking.
It can require research and visiting some places in her area. Google may be helpful as well as yellow pages or inquiring with a Senior Center in the area. Hope this is of some help.

Sorry about your Grandma. My mom is at one that cost $7000 a month but it's covered by her long term care insurance...not sure for how long. I'm sure there are more pricer ones and some cheaper, i'm guessing that's the middle of the road. You might find some info on http://www.caring.com it has some good articles.

Well, now...my grandma has a cyst in her leg and the doctors found a mass, so they'll be doing a biopsy.
She'll be okay...will she? Being 91 and pushing 92 and such...
