Mom-
I've noticed that too! Some months are worse than others, but I definately feel more depressed and angry the couple weeks before. Sometimes I can't even stand myself, I get real frustrated with everything and cry occassionally. It's intense! hah. My anxiety does get worse sometimes too, and I just try to tell myself that it's just anxiety due to PMS and I'm going to be OK. I also try to eat good foods and just comfort myself, by watching a funny movie or reading a funny book to try to ease my mind. But I feel your pain!

aliengal24, I had to do a double take when you post Mom- Hey, this girl is talking to her MOM!
Then I looked closer...Oh, yeh...she shortened Momof2cuteboys!
Yes, PMS is not fun...I did read a book on it that was excellent years ago. Can't tell you the author or title, but it really explained Prostaglandins and that this is what causes the cramping, headaches and irritability that causes PMS.
I think eating almonds might help as well. I bet on the internet they have a bunch of information available that I didn't and can explain prostaglandins and how they work in the body.

Hi-
For myself, I use bio-identical progesterone that I get prescribed from my ob and I get made at a compounding pharmacy. It really helped to even out the mood variances that I experienced after having my children. My anxiety would be so-so for 2 weeks and out of this world for 2 weeks. Rinse and repeat. After I started the progesterone, it faded for the most part. My husband was ready to send the guy flowers.
If you want more info, let me know.

Funny you all should mention this. I am going through some horrible anxiety right now....I have "solid" reasons to be anxious (weird marriage, work, stomach infection), BUT....looking at Mr. Calendar made me realize I am in PMS mode now too.
I recently stopped taking BC pills at my new doc's suggestion since I tend to get migraines, but she suggested if I want to go back on, she'd put me on a low progesterone/no estrogren one and see if that helped. I think maybe I will look into it for sure now!
