I come across as insecure sometime. I want to come across as friendly, warm and confident.I don't want to be arrogant. I would turn into a fool. I suppose a supportive warm smile, a listening ear, good eye contact, and a strong warm voice should do the trick... Any other suggestions?
Thanks
How can I sound more confident?

Dear Songwriter:
You know, I feel a lot like you a bunch of the time.
Always have. I think I learned to distrust, suspect people's motives, and cringe sort of , as a child.
I think about it sometimes. We learn that
I didn't even think about it - I just naturally assumed that no one would ever really like me.
(or something like that). I wasn't sad about it much of the time. Just took that negative as a matter of fact.
But you asked how you could come accross as confident. Strong. Friendly.
Start out by talking to yourself as if you are!!
And believe it.
Then , kind of forget about yourself. And concentrate on the other fellow. Thank about that person.
Say something to that person to make him/her feel good. (don't flatter). Just be sincere.
Think about what you could say or do that would encourage that other person. You can start ith your wife. And with your little boy too.
Just be yourself. Because you are okay!!!
Look in the mirror and tell yourself over and over that you are okay. And you are lovable.
You are kind.
That kind of stuff. Believe it! And you'll be sounding very confident pretty soon.
Best of luck!!!
I know just how you feel.
