I've had that happen several times....sometimes my whole body would go numb adn I'd faint....of course all tests were normal......I think it was my anxiety over being at the Doctor's office......I guess that's a good place to faint if any lol It's completely normal to have that...it's just one of the symptoms

Thank you Wizzy,Amber, & Steven. It really scared me so bad. So do you guys think I could have been hyperventilating in my sleep then? The CT scan did relieve my mind Wizzy. Thank you. But you know how we anxiety sufferers always want "a reason" for things. It was just on the one side & in my lips..no my whole face. Who knows..maybe I was even sleeping wierd and pinched a nerve or something. But for some reason as much a I tried to play all those "little things" it could be in my mind..the "could be a stroke" thought kept jumping back in there. Oh man..is this a battle. I just thank you all from the bottom of my heart for being there & always being a reassurance to me.
My the things we been through and the things we forget lol. My nose used to get numb and tingly,
and between my eyes. Excuse my expression, but felt like I was going to vomit through my nose.
I also used to feel alot of stress on my scalp.
There were times when it was actually sore to touch. I`m glad that doesnt happen anymore!

In addition to what everyone else said...do you have allergies/sinus problems at all? My face goes tingly down to my lips and sometimes my tongue and it is due to allergies and sinus pressure. Sometimes it is my entire face but more often than not it is on one side...dependon on what sinus cavity is clogged. Just a thought. A pinch nerve could do the same as can releiving a nerve. I know when I had neck problems whenever my chiro would crack my neck my cheecks would tingle for a minute or two.
Focus on what you want, not what you fear...
OMG...I have this alot! I am so glad to hear that this so common. This is one of those symptoms that scares me as well but I have come to realize as Tammy said, it especially flares when my sinuses or allergies are acting up, if I slept funny, or if my jaw and neck are hurting. It is a scary symptom but I think even more common than we think with this anxiety stuff!
I've learned from experience that when you get "numb/tingly" it's because you're hyperventilating (and possibly don't even realize it) and drop CO2 in your blood, your central nervous system begins to "freak out". I've gone through periods of being numb on all of my arms, legs, and face for days in a row, and my doctor said it isn't harmful to your health. It's just unbearlingly annoying.
