I have just started the program . I am on day 2. My husband watched the jump start dvd with me last night and i tried to listen to the first audio session. i did do the relaxation tape once yesterday afternoon. It was so hard to even listen to the first audio when it got to the part where people were telling their personal experiences. it was very anxiety provoking just to listen,i had to turn it off. somebody please tell me this gets easier. i am so discouraged right now. i am having panic attacks coming so frequently and am on medication. i take zoloft 50 mg in the a.m. and xanax 0.5 mg three times daily. i take ambien cr (just started two nights ago) and am still waking up at 3 or 4 in the morning with my heart racing, shortness of breath and feeling very panicky.

Happy New year and Welcome to the program.I felt the exact same way you did when I started the program. I think many people have felt the exact same way.

Give yourself credit for opening up the program and starting to listen. so what if you had to shut if off before it finished. At least you made the effort. Give yourself credit for the smallest of accomplishments.

Take your time and babystep your way through it. It will get easier.

Take care and God Bless.

KLMiller:

Try just listening to the relaxation tape, getting yourself relaxed for a few days. You have orverwhelmed yourself with the whole lot. You know that there is no set time to work on each session? Take it slow and you will find you can relax with the tapes. I find the people were very encouraging with their experiences that they share, that I am not alone.
Best of luck
