Hi all - I had a doozy of a panic attack last night and wonder how many of you experience a very rapid heart rate. Mine was 130 or 140. Of course the faster it goes the more it freaks me out thus perpetuating the cycle. I try to remind myself it's just the panic but it lasted for a couple of hours. The worst part is it often happens at home for no particular reason. Therefore I don't feel like I have a place to escape to. Any input would be great. I'm on session 8 and have felt pretty good the last few weeks so this makes it all the more frustrating.

I know what your talking about fast heart rate was the scary thing for me too. but, it's all apart of having a anxiety attack. the more you think about your symptoms the worse they seem just get busy doing something and tell yourself this will pass its just only anxiety and your heart rate will go back to normal its just all related to anxiety.

Hi Beth1 - I have the same trouble with a racing heart. I haven't started the program yet as it is on its way to me in the mail. I am finding that herbal remedies are extremely helpful. I see a nutritionist for mine. Lucinda Bassett offers an herbal supplement. I haven't tried hers, but you might give it a try. You might also consider a nutritionist that specializes in herbal remedies along with a diet that suits your particular situation. I'm thinking that Lucinda's program coupled with the natural supplements will bring me out of this ugly anxiety/panic. Hope this helps. Good luck!
Eileen :)
