Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone has any advice for me on this cause everyone here just seems mad at me..
Im in my 2nd yr of a language degree.. im 22 soon though!! I have suspended a year cause I had depression and took a year out.
I was doing OK, but had a bad period before xmas and missed a few exams and had bad attendance..
Now, I havent really been to many classes this semester. I just wake up and dont want to go out. Anyone else feel this way? I love sleep cause i feel so warm and safe in my bed, when my alarm goes off and I hear that sound I feel paniked.
My mum and bf keep saying Im going to get kicked out of uni cause I didnt go today, but I had a dream that I would make a fool of myself and I dont have many friends there. The truth is, im scared about speaking in front of ppl in a foreign language cause my anxiety makes me say silly things.
My uni kind of knows about this.. but feel that my record looks bad cause of mixed exams, bad attendance etc. I am moving to france in september for a year so need to feel better by then :os ... Saying that I was suicidal a month ago so I have come a long way.

Does anyone else feel the same?? I couldnt take another year out, Id rather leave.

I'm so worried :O(

Hey there ultimately you have to do what is right for you. I would try REALLY hard not to let the anxiety stop you from pursuing your education. You have come so far already-don't let it win now. I understand not wanting to go, I almost didn't graduate high school due to attendance issues and I was SO embarrased. Don't worry what the others in your class think. Who cares anyways? It is your life not theirs. Whether you speak really well or really bad mnakes no impact on their life. So go for it. Succeed it will feel great! Good luck to you.

If your that worried about being kicked out of school, maybe it's time to see your guidance counsler. After all that's why they are their. Legally I don't think the school can kick you out for missing classes do to a medical condition. I think depression counts. Plus why would they want to kick you out. If they do that their loosing your tuition. Seriously though talk to someone at the school and they should be able to help you. You may also want to see the school therapist. Could be just what you need.
