Does anyone have any advise or recommendations on where a spouse can go for help (books, websites etc) to help a spouse deal with their anxiety.
My husband just doesn't know what to do - and i don't know what to tell him. However, I need his help....
Spouses dealing with an anxious spouse
Hello,
There is a cd in your program that I feel that would help your husband more understand what you are going through it is very helpful I had my husband listen to it but he had already been dealing with me for ahwile before I recieved the program.
But if you have the program listen to the cd with your hubby and talk about it.
I would also recommend that he come to this site and read the forums and really know what we do go through.
People that dont have it just dont get it so how would they understand?? We are often told to just get over it or if you were around me you would be well but it doesnt work that way and it actually just makes us feel worse about ourselves.
My Husband understands but he is worn out from it it has been over 6 yrs and I have changed and our marriage was on the rocks due to him not liking my son from a prior marriage so it made things worse then when I had sugery in 01 I lost it I mean I hit rock bottom badly suffering from everything but it turned out that this all had been building up in me from the age of 8 when i was molested until 11yrs old it did stop and a whole life of terrible things that happened.
So your husband needs to know Yes you are having problems but you work on them and his understanding would be very helpful with your anxiety and whatever else you suffer from.
Please fix it now before is to late my husband has a whole new life without me and it has really made me worse. If you can figure a man out let me know OK??
God Bless you and your Hubby , Let him read this ok?? Thanks and good Luck, Ramona

My husband listened to the program with me to understand what I was going through. Hearing other people talk about it helped because I never really talked to him about it because I did not know why I was this way, why this was happening or how to fix it. Him listening to the program gave him insight on how a sufferer suffers and how they overcame their issues. This helped him help himself and he was able to provide me with the support I needed. It was a win win with both of us listening to the program. He has even made many positive changes for himself as well and feels much more happier, secure and more confident then he ever has. But him listening to the people on the CD's struggling gave him insight how it was for me and Lucinda talking at the end of a lesson would offer him tips so that if I did not catch myself, he would catch me and encourage me to pick myself up and keep going. Good luck in your recovery. You WILL find peace from this.
