So I'm on the second week of the program and i have stopped having panic attacks throughout the day, but almost every morning I wake up in a panic before I even have time to think!

I can't even pinpoint my panic on a reason which fuels the panic. The biggest sign of an anxiety attack for me is feeling sick to my stomach, nauseous, like something really bad is going to happen.

It is a horrible way to start off each morning. Does anyone have this same experience, any ideas?

Thanks!

I know when I was in school just expecting the alarm going off made me anxious for me it was a racing heart. You could try finding an alarm that is more soothing to wake up too. If that isn't helpful just try laying there for a while, deep breathing, stretching and then fix a nice hot cup of tea. I also find making tea for myself before I go to bed helps me relax for a good nights sleep. I hope that helps :)

I definitely know what you are going through. I wake up every morning with my heart racing and out of breath like i just ran a marathon. I think my anxiety in the morning stemms from the anticipation of the next day. I worry about how Im going to feel the next day. how bad will my anxiety be and will I beable to deal with it. I have a lot of anticipatory anxiety where I'm always feeling likesomething bad to happen to me. Maybe you should listen to your relaxation tape before you go to bed and as soon as you wake up in the morning.

I finally realized I was having bad dreams and waking up anxious from them which set the tone for the entire day. When I was able to tell myself it was just a bad dream, it made all the difference in the world.

I also suffer from this. where one minute I will be sound asleep, and the next I would be in full panic. I still have not found a cause for mine, however I have been studying my actions each day and trying to piece together what triggers it. So far all I can tell is if I had some excitement, whether good or bad, within a few hours of going to sleep I usually will be rudly awoke in a panic. This happens alot on my game day with my neighbors. We have a good time playing laughing and kidding, sometimes drink one or two beers, and this is when it usually is the worst. I can't figure it out why it seems to coinside with a happy time. I don't want to say its the beer, because I only drink once or twice a week and usually only one or two beers. Any Ideas?
