So I've had a lot of anxiety and panic lately. I'm finding that if I take a few minutes out of each day and write down what I am thankful for, it makes me feel a little better. Here's what I am thankful for today. Feel free to add what you're thankful for. Let's keep this going! :)

I AM THANKFUL:
~For a nice, hot shower this morning.
~Jake (my fiance) and Hoover (our mini dachshund) were awake this morning and I got to see them before I left for work.
~Jake picked up my new watch from Macy's. Thanks, J.J.!
~Jake and I had lunch together at the Bagel Shop. We don't usually get out without the dog much.
~The snow from last week finally melted.
~It is 50 degrees and sunny this afternoon!
~The good lord gave me the grace to get through a meeting at work with my Director, Manager, Business Analyst and IT Programmer this morning without having a panic attack or too much anxiety.
~I feel really good this afternoon and the work day is going by much faster than normal.
~The Homeowner's Association is going to make the renters across the street move their ghetto U-Haul van.

I am thankful:

>That my parents and I went to church together on Sunday
>>That my dad is making an effort to read the recovery book that I gave him for Christmas
>>>That my childhood friend has been there a lot lately to help me through the situation I am in and can relate. (I don't really trust anyone with my personal issues)
>>>That I am healthy and able to work out, go out, and work
>>>>That I got through an awkward social scene with one of my exes (my first love) last night with minimal anxiety and no sadness or "what if" thoughts
>>>>>>That tomorrow is a New Year and I have decided tht it will be one of healing myself, finding myself again, and getting my life back
>>>>>>>That God is good. He is the Way, The Truth, and the Life and I have given control over to him! What a relief!
>>>>>>>>For the Anxiety and Depression program and the help it promises, and for this post! :D

~I am thankful I spent the night at Jake's mom's house last night. I can't believe I was actually able to fall asleep there. It has been such a long time since I've stayed any where, other than my house. I had a little bit of anxiety and contemplated going home in the wee hours of the morning, but the good lord saw me through it and I was able to get back to sleep.

~I am thankful that I was able to get my home office cleaned out today. It feels good to finally have all my paper work in order--just in time to do income taxes later this month.

~I am thankful that Jake survived New Year's at the Police Department. I thought this would be the busiest night of the year with DUI's, fights, etc. but it was relatively quiet. Glad he's okay and made it home from work on time without getting injured, or involved in an officer shooting.

~I am thankful that it is the New Year. It feels like a fresh start.
