Shortness Of Breath
Most of the time I feel uneasy and in turn it causes my chest and throat to feel tight and I feel as if I cannot take a deep breath. I'll do my breathing and tell myself it'll go away but sometimes it doesn't. It'll last all day. What other things could I do to calm myself, when I'm at work, that might help me? I'm so frustrated because I'm on session three and I'm still feeling like this. I know that it may take me longer but I'm so impatient. That's one of my biggest down falls.

I know how difficult it is to wait to feel better, but remember, as you said you're only on Session 3. That means you still have 80% of the program to complete. Keeping that in mind, should you really be beating yourself up for not being "better" now? I'm in Session 9 and still have a lot to learn. This is a long term process and while it may feel painfully slow, you'll get there in the end and all the work and effort will definitely be worth it.
As for trouble with breathing, which also is a difficult symptom for me, if doing the deep breathing exercises don't help, I find that distraction is my next best tool. If I can keep my mind occupied, then my breathing returns to a normal rate automatically. Remember that your body knows instinctively how to breathe. We only run into trouble when we try to take over manually! Accept that you feel uncomfortable, try to keep you're breath calm and deep, and know that if all else fails your body can take care of itself.
Be well,
Jamie

I just figured out what "what if" thinking was. I found I was doing a lot of that... just imagining situations, imagining how I would react, how would others react toward me.
I found that I kinda hold my breath when I start thinking like this. Now I am trying to refocus and think of something else... or not think at all. Just focus on what is in front of me..... clouds, the telephone wires swaying to the wind and do the breathing thing. Don't think too much, thats what I amd learning. I hope what I'm saying makes sense. Hope it helps!!
