I tend to listen to talk radio . . . like New Life Live which is problem solving, and Dr Laura. I sometimes watch Dr Phil and Nanny 911 and Supernanny. I read a lot of self help books.
My friend mentioned to me that part of my problem is I'm always thinking about my problems or other people's problems and then "problems" have become normal for me. She suggested I stop listening to those sorts of radio shows and stop reading about mental health issues in books and online and just get busy living my life.
My husband and I had been having problems and now that we've worked through a lot of them, it's like I'm afraid to accept that things really are OK. She said it's because I keep filling my head with drama instead of "normal" stuff.
So that's something to work on, although I really enjoy listening to New Life Live. . . .
